NDEOtec is a Swiss privately held company located in Neuchatel and a spin-off of PV-Lab, the Photovoltaic-Laboratory of Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL-IMT).
PV-LAB, founded in 1984 and currently headed by Prof. Christophe Ballif, has pioneered several new processes for manufacturing of silicon-based thin films such as introduction of Very High Frequency (VHF) plasma. The lab has been designated as a center of national importance by the Swiss Federal Office for Energy.
The first product of INDEOtec was launched in 2008 and features a modular and multi-chamber cluster concept designed for solar cells development and optimization. INDEOtec and PV-Lab successfully completed the transfer of technology.
Octopus product family is a PECVD/PVD cluster equipment tailor made for pilot production and /or R&D purposes, processing samples for Hetero-Junctions c-Si HJ and thin film silicon TF-Si.
INDEOtec was co-founded by Fabrice Jeanneret currently company Chief Technology Officer and Reto Tscharner, Cedric Bucher and Jean-Luc Kumin, members of the board and technology consultants.
Dr. Omid Shojaei is the Chief Executive Officer of the company. He has more than 15 years experience in the industrial equipment sector and has long expertise in managing high-tech businesses.
